Hood alot of wet sanding, and by alot I mean it took about 5 whole sheets of 3m 1500grit sandpaper for that little area. Hood was also a horrblie body shop repaint with a single stage paint, so when sanding I had to be really careful to not hit the primer and paint.

Also if its just swirls and scratches, Meguiars 105 + Dewalt 748 + Orange Kompressor Pad does tits for it. Than DA 205, Opti Polish II, KLasse Sealeant, and Carbuana Moose Wax

I also like the Kompressor pads more the meguiars soft buff 2.0 pads :bigthumb:

Bah, I don't have a buffing tool or w/e. I bought some Meguiar's Scratch X or whatever. Will that be fine after a wash and clay?

Depends on the paint really, I use scratch x to decide if I need to use a rotarty or da. If I can get a close to perfect swirl free with scratch x I will use my da, but if the paints hard as hell the scratch x wopnt do shit and than I pull out my rotatary for compounding and swirl removal

Yea, its weird because its single stage ontop of the clear coat, and than the original paint on the bottom

Wait so they painted over a failing clear coat without any kind of prepwork?

Yea pretty much, i already told him it wasnt gonna come out perfect, and prob should throw some nxt wax on it at least once a month after i get done. Like when sanding youll get alot of green water, and than it turns into whitish water
