Give me some ideas on what to get (besides ammo!)

    Some thoughts I've had:

    1. Reloading setup
    2. P3AT

not sure. throw any ideas you guys can think of. It doesn't have to be $200 or less, it can just be kinda close ($300 max, maybe). It's a cabelas gift cert though, so it has to be from there.

Damn... well, I guess the first thing I'd ask is how badly do you want to reload your own ammo? If you're kinda iffy, then get another gun! I cant seem to like Kel-tec's... so I can't help you there, but it still seems like the better option to me.

well, I'm not TOO sure about the reloading, but that last reloading thread made it sound so easy that I sorta wanted to get into it.

I'm not nuts about the p3, but it seems like it's so cheap, everyone should own one.

I'm not too crazy on reloading either, but I've never done it, or seen it done in person... so I'd have to withold official opinion on that one for now. I'd also have to try out a p3 myself to see if I like them as well. I've only held one once in a gun shop, and didn't care for how cheap it felt... but like you said, it is what it is... a good jacket pocket back-up gun.

I've got an 870 and a Saiga, so I think I'm good on shotguns for now. I want to get something fun. I can buy ammo any time!

Do they sell Pelican cases there? I'd really like a nice case for my AR. Maybe one for your saiga or AK pistola.

Other than that I'd get a spotting scope or a PF-9

    My short list
    Garmin, or some other GPS
Good boots (will last a long time)
    spotting scope
    bench rest (done)
    binnoculers (done)
    hard case for AR (done)

Don't buy reloading equipment through Cabala’s if you can help it. There are loads of places on the net to purchase what you need at a discount even with shipping factored in.

That sucks, that $200 could get you some nice hunting stuff.

................buy some hunting stuff, make yourself get back into it. I'm sure you could talk a buddy into going w/you. I don't know about anybody else, but to me thats the best feeling ever. Just you and the wilderness, sitting up in a tree an a crisp October or November morning. :bigthumb:

I went this morning, but it was so crowded I could barely walk in there. I ended up getting some Hornady TAP 200g .45+p and some Hornady JHP/XTP 125g in .357 (1500FPS :eek3:).

I'll probably go again later this week.

I was actually thinking about trying a different carry gun. If I ended up liking something more, I'd be selling my USPc.45. Not sure if I'll end up liking something better though (P220 carry is in my sights right now).
