20 yr old guy
16 yr old girl
Is this a good idea or bad idea?
Bush signed a bill about a year ago that makes any US citizen a criminal for boinking under 18 year olds in other countries.
Not sure if he amended anything here in the USA.
u might want to check up on new laws since ignorance of the law doesn't set u free of responsibility as a US citizen.
one yeah, you need to see if it is legal.
two, if it is what do you really have in common. If it is someone you are interested in and could see yourself being with for a while then why not give it a shot. I find it hard to believe though you are going to find a mature enough 16 year old to date. I just don't think it could work out. I was in the same situation about a week ago, considering dating a 17 year old. I couldn't do it though because I knew there was no way we could have a serious relationship and it isn't right to just take advantage of someone that young.
19 year old guy
23 year old woman..
That a good idea? haha
What if we dont engage in sex?
Then what would be the point
my concern would be the parents
It depends on compatibility and maturity. My mother in law was 15 when she met my father in law (he was 25). The didn't see each other for a year, then dated for 2 years and got married when she was 18 and he was 28. They were married for 42 years and 4 years after his death, she's still...well, not bereft but not quite whole either.
I happened to look this up b/c my lover was 17 at the time that I met her. The age of consent is state dependent, NOT federal.
NY is 17. Traveling citizens are 18. California for some inane reason is 18. Most of New England is 16.
edit: Any sexual contact at all is prohibited before the age of consent if the older partner is overage. This prolly includes such enjoyable and harmless things as titties.
Morally, as long as she's as mature as you, age is a number .
The parents can do nothing if he's in, say, New Jersey.
I think that's completely different than 16 and 20. The maturity level between 16 and 20 can be HUGE. That's one in high school and one in college.
I personaly wouldn't allow my 16 year old daughter to date a 20 year old.
right, but it can be weird having a relationship with the girl if the parents hate it.
I feel the same way, I was just asking in general, not comparing it to situation here.. lol..
Sorry for the confusion..
I'm turning 21 next week and I've been dating my 17 year old girlfriend for almost a year and a half. We get along great and have a good mix of similarities and differences.
Another great thing is that her parents like me a lot and I like them. Same with my family.
Give it a try and see how it turns out.
illegal.. very bad idea. i work in a prison and we have lots of 19 and 20 year old guys in there for that.
Dating a 16 year old is probably a bad idea no matter what age you are.
No offense, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
If you want a headache
she seems mature for her age. She says shes attracted to older guys.
I dated a 16yr old when I was 20. I actualy met her a few months before and waited until a day after her 16 B-day to ask her out. She was a blast, but ofcourse it didnt work out. Your choicel If you want a good time go for it. If you want a serious thing, move on.
It was meant as a joke. Sort of.
