Im confused on how people are using more than one sub on a mono amp. Also which is better 4 ohm or 2 ohm if they are the same price?

Heres the kinda system i wanna buy:

    2 x 12" Alpine Type R's 2 Ohm RMS Power Range : 50-500 Watts
    1 x Alpine MRD-M1005 Amp 1.000W x 1 RMS (2ohm, 14.4V, 1% THD+N)

So wiring the 2 ohm 1,000W amp too the two subs would make 500W RMS each, which would be perfect right? Or should i get the 4 ohm subs? Confused.

i was under the impression that this years type r's were a dual 4ohm voice coil, so it would depend on how you wire the coils as well as how you wire them to the amps :dunno:
