I was driving my scoot today and took it on a mile long up/down hill road. When I got to the end of the road my scoot bogged out and when I try to start it the starter turns very freely, like it has no compression. I took the plug out and stuck my finger over the hole and turned it over and didnt feel any pressure. Time for new rings? The spark plug also had some white dots on it and was covered in gray carbon

White dots sounds to me like melted metal from detonation, I'd say you likely need a piston too and possibly more.

eton beamer with a t6 airsal kit. Turns out there was a deep score in the cylinder wall/piston. I got a Polini Contesta kit coming in the mail. Cast iron + 2 piston ring should hold up a bit better

That's what I'm guessing. But Ive driven the scoot in hotter weather on longer rides and been fine.

could be a leaking base or case gasket or a loose air filter boot
