I've been toying with the idea of getting sleeves lately (have side piece and a bit of chest done)... what do you guys think of one arm in black / grey and one in color?

I really like and appreciate both styles, but I can't decide if that would just end up looking odd.

Maybe i'll just stick with one style for both arms :dunno:

Do sleeves in one and leg warmers in another.

i'll probably end up doing a half sleeve in color and the other black / grey full sleeve... still undecided though. Haven't really seen a good example of a mismatched sleeves though.

As long as they are the same style, it's fine.

This. My boyfriend has biomech in black and grey on one sleeve, and I just paid for 8 hours (for his bday) to get another biomech but in color on his other empty arm ;).

I don't think they need to match. Mine are 2 completely different styles.

My leg doesnt have color and i really regret that, though.

One of my friends has 1 black/grey new school patchwork sleeve with your usual cross, skull, car.. random bs and the other one is all colored traditional style tattoos.

    It looks fuckin stupid.

It looks stupid because those styles are stupid ;). It wouldn't look any better if the black and grey sleeve was traditional style tattoos like the color sleeve.

Think it sounds like a cool idea as it's what i've had planned for my arms. :wiggle:

Left arm's gonna be bright/vibrant colors and cartoony images. Right arm's gonna be muted/darker colors and more realistic images.

Do both sleves in half/half. Start with color and fade into gray scale.

I'd go for matched sleeves, but that's just my preference. I'm kind of biased toward color but either way you can make it work, if you find an artist that can do good color and black and white, even better.

I've always liked a nice shaded sleeve with color where it needs it to accent things, but not overdone.
