I do a couple cars a week (usually just quick interior with wash/polish) but sometimes my family members ask me to do their cars. This is my uncles 2005 GMC envoy (110,000 miles). He owns greenhouses/a dog so its used for everything, hauling plants, dog carrier, junk carrier, lol. He was leaving for Ohio (this morning) and wanted it clean for the ride with his wife. I got the car Thursday morning and finished Friday night. My main concentration was on the carpets/interior as they was the the worst. The exterior just got the quick wash (no polishing).

    Exterior
Two bucket wash with Surf City Pacific Blue Wash and Wax (was out of Duragloss 901)
Surf City Road Trip on front end and rockers (This stuff is awesome)
Meguiars APC (4:1) on wheel wells, frame, tires and door jambs

    Interior
Vacuum with shop vac (6hp), this took the longest. Was vacuuming, brusing, vacuuming, brushing...
Carpet/seats spots treated with 303 carpet cleaner
Carpets/seats scrubbed with a mix of Meguiars APC (4 ounces) and Oxy Brite (1-2 tablespoons)
"Extracted" with the BLGM (I highly suggest this to any weekend detailer, amazing at how much stuff is pulled out, also get the heated version)
All interior panels scrubbed with Meguiars APC (4:1)
All interior panels protected with 303.
All glass cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass.

I have to say the carpets were the worst thing in the world, dog hair, bark/small twigs embedded into the carpet. I couldn't believe how much dirt was pulled out with the BLGM even after a vacuum (which looked halfway clean). I purchased it just before I did the detail (big purchase for my poor college self, lol), and have to say its one of the best tools I've purchased.

Since my sisters car was having some problems I had to loan her one of mine and go and pick hers up (what a joy driving back home :o). After I got it fixed I thought I would give it a "quick" detail (wash/vacuum) which turned into a pain, lol. I think this is the first time the cars been cleaned since she got it a few years ago.

    How I got the car.

And the only money I got for this detail.

My wash supplies. Emptied the rinse bucket twice.

I tried to get a pic of how dirty the car was as I was washing it, you can kind of see the line in the center of the picture. (the bottom half of the door was unwashed)

    And clean.

The water drops on the car is b/c it rained last night.

I know I missed some things (didn't get a chance to shampoo the carpets or seats, so yes there still stained) as I am no where near happy with the way it turned out, but she came early to get it so I had to do what I could. Cleaning the carpets took me a while as I had to vacuum, brush, repeat like 5 times. Luckily I got her floor mats when she bought the car or else I think I would have just got new carpet, lol. The lint on the dash is from the cheap MF towels I was using. All together I think it turned out 100% better then it was. When I get a chance again (sister is a few hours away) I am going to shampoo/polish the car. Hopefully it stays half way clean so I don't have to redo my work next time, lol. I'm done!

What? No pictures of your sister? [IMG]

Nice work otherwise, amazing how clean you got that Envoy and I know what a pain the carpet in VWs is to vacuum.

On the Envoy - the crud on top of the carpet was thicker than the actual carpet. :ugh: You did a great job on it.

Nice work on the Bug as well. :bigthumb:

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, the VW carpet was like trying to get stuff out of concrete, it was such "hard" carpet if you will.

And heres two pics, she'd probably kill me if she knew I posted pics of her. And she is a manager at Mcdonalds.

Interior on the gmc looks brand new man, im an auto detailer for one of the bigger body shops on the east coast, and we dont even mess with door hinges, shampooing carpet...our job is too clean the entire car but the focus is on the shit we caused (compound in cracks, body dust, dust inside) . very nice job.

    Hahaha, Thread delivers.

    Great detail work.
That Envoy interior almost made me gag.

I simply DO NOT understand how some people can drive their cars in that shape. :barf:
