Nothing special just wanted to share. Anyone that is thinking or knows people who train events on a certain day I encourage you to join. Not only are events physically draining but it's also a lot of fun :bigthumb:.

Heres a pic on the log - the log is quite a bit tougher then a normal barbell

Yeah had a blast, between events and the phillip/coan deadlift routine my back is all sorts of fucked up.

I've always wanted to play with a log press.

People say its harder than a barbell but because of the hand positioning and such isn't it a shorter range of motion to lockout?

The hand positioning is different, but I didn't notice a shorter range of motion. The log is harder because it's so damn thick it almost chokes you when you get it up in a position to press

Normal gym training 4-5 days a week. "Event Days" are the days you practice events (farmers carry, log press, tire flip etc). In my case I have one event day a week on a saturday to prepare for implements in a strongman competition.
