2 new PRs today - leg day

    135x4 OH squat
    295x1 front squat

    oh squat are easily my favorite movement

    i also tried OH lunges today. did 95x5. could have done more but my shoulders were aching after doing a bunch of oh squat sets

    ill have 315x1 on front squats within a month. ill get a video of that and new oh squat prs soon to come

    weight/height: 195 @ 6'1"

    congrats. thats some nice weight for Front squat. im afriad of putting 225lb on my shoulders thinking it'll slip off:hsd:

    I have never like doing them that way, I always found that doing them with my arm placement as if at the top of a power clean was easier, you ever try that?

    yea ive tried that a few times. it just kills my wrists. and it shouldnt. i do clean variations all the time and my snatch grip OH squats should be building wrist flexibility, maybe?

    im going to try OH squats today.... even with just the bar I probably have the coordination to balance and ill fall on my ass :o

    im so comfortable with arms crossed it would be hard to switch. is there any physical benefit to oly style?

    I've never tried anything besided normal squats and sumo squats. do front squats work something different? Seems like the weight is just a few inches different, and it would be harder to hold :dunno:

    works quads more i believe.

    i dont have a strong liking for back squats, but i love front :dunno:

    you really arent holding it with your hands if you do that way, it is just resting on your shoulders and you use your fingers to keep it in place. I use 2-3 fingers on each hand when i do it

    front squats force you to keep you back straight otherwise you drop the weight, they are also help with power clean

    below parallel. i have an easier time going deep on my front than my back
