2 Month training log

    I went from 183 to about 163 in 5 months or so doing mma and eating really well.

    About January I wasnt happy with the way my body looked after losing all the weight so i started lifting weights, i stayed at 163 but my body looks alot better + i was able to eat whatever I want.

    For the next 2 months (prepping for summer) my goal is to lose my man boobs, I know 10 pounds wont necessary mean i'll lose my man boobs but its just a short term goal.

    I plan on eating under 2000 calories and doing a lot of conditioning/cardio workouts.

    So my reason for starting this log is to keep an eye on my activities, and to push myself further every week.

    I'll post pics at the end of my 2 months if i am happy with myself.

    (holy fuck sledge hammering is the best forearm exercise I've ever done, i could barely gel my hair after, but the pump I got from it after makes me look forward to adding more sets to this exercise)

    I dont think I can work out today, my neck is destroyed. I rolled with a kid who came to his 2nd class and the only move he knew was the guillotine, and not a technically sound one so he just reefed on my neck the whole time.

    Left calf is also injured, i'm assuming from the all the skipping and take down attempts.

    I hope i'm fresh for my JKD class tomorrow. I'd to miss one of those.

    I dont really remember everything we did but 5 minutes of cardio warm up (skipping jumping jacks jumping on the spot)



    jab-jab-cross-hook-swing kick-hook-swing kick combo rinse and repeat

    I was planning on doing my push up / pull up routine but i felt really bored doing it.

    So i changed it up.


    Sledge hammer vs Tire

    20 seconds of hammering 10 second break (i shortened my recovery time to only 10 seconds)

    1 minute skipping 30 second break x7

    I submitted 1 guy twice so it wasnt exactly a 2 minute round
    and got completely dominated once that round was less than 1 minute.


    My right shoulder hurts when i got submitted I got americanoed really badly.

    Eh, thats very canadian of you.

    I kept a log in a book, but i like to have it public incase people have any input. Also its a lot easier to show people than to carry my book around.

    2 hours of JKD class

    Wicked drills yesterday,
    step back step in -> jab
    parry -> jab
    intercept -> jab

    We did that for an hour and it was exhausting.

    We did some straight blast technique and i got smashed in the face by my instuctor while wearing a mask, it split my lip and my teeth in the front feel really tight.

    30 second jog - 1 minute walk x3

    12 hill sprints that takes roughly 14 seconds to complete


    I've been jogging for little while now and everytime i'm done my knees hurt like a bitch and my cardio rarely gets effected but on my 5th sprint last night I felt like I was going to give up, but i kept on going until I could barely breath.

    Today nothing hurts. I think i like hill sprints to jogging.

    Very minimal breaks between exercises because I had to get ready for work.
