Our OHV trails are being closed down and our time is running out to save them! Please take 2 minutes to do your part to keep our public land PUBLIC!!

If you're not familiar with the Forest Service's plan to close thousands of miles of public trails in our National Forests ("Route Designation") to motor vehicles, go here: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=596279

When you're good and pissed off , do the following:
    1. Go to www.PreserveOurTrails.com
    2. Click the "ELDORADO PETITION" link at the bottom
    3. Fill out your info
    4. Click the link in the confirmation email

A letter will be sent to the FS asking them to keep more trails open. It randomly chooses 15-20 trails since they have asked us to be specific.

Somebody worked very hard to make this very easy! Please take 2 minutes to make it worth their effort!

    THANK YOU!!

Do you have any plan to keep your four-wheeling from eroding the trails? Do you have any plan to keep your trucks relatively quiet so as to not scare off the animals and piss off the other guests? Or is it just an opportunity to pretend you're a backwoods ranger rushing to put out a forest fire?

Right now there is a new "tread lightly" trend going around. Basically, the 4x4 community kind of keeps an eye on each other making sure that nobody is mindlessly damaging the land unless they have to. An example of this is if you are attempting an obstacle. The community is also becoming more aware of keeping the trails clean.

When you go on a camping/offroad trip, you are supposed to keep the camping and offroading separate. So no, we are not offroading while people are trying to sleep or anything. We usually go far away from the campsite so I don't think anyone is actually bothered. As for the animals, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as we aren't running them over with out trucks, then they will be fine.
