2.2L S10 for work..

    i dont need anything powerful and im not going to be hauling anything.. although i will be on the road a lot for work and need it to be very reliable. yay or nay?

    the 2.2 is notorious for blowing head gaskets

    4.3L or bust. Both from a power and reliability standpoint.

    i've had two 4.3s and no complaints. great motor with easy to get parts

    S10.s are great to have. i own 2 and have had NO probs. after awhile when your sick of the lil 2.2 drop a small block in it!! its awesome!!!

    i had a 99 s10 the Xtreme model......my engine blew with less than 50thous miles on it......

    you might as well spend the money on a 4.3 and an ext cab also. the standard cab s10 is a bit snug.

    :werd: 2.2L is not much better then the 4.3 for fuel economy, and the 4.3 is a better platform should you decide to go with a V8.
