Money going to NCOs, hope it is the lower guys
I should probably check that out. 2.2 is still better than nothing though.
What are you talking about? My pay raise next year is almost 50%.
You were raised in the good times...the last 5yrs have been fabulous. Remember the hard times and the 1.2 days.
I suppose you are right.
Not unless you are in a "Targeted" pay range.
There will be another 2.2% on April 1st for those that are.
Are you talking about serving during the Clinton years?
military.com says that the raise is sposed to be across the board
For me I get $140 raise. Part of it in January with the new year and part in February when I have another year down.
meh, at least we'll probably never actually get a pay cut, even if it's just inflation-level pay raises
and only 7 more months till i make captain so there's my big raise
You fucks should work as a civilian for a few years without a pay raise.
lol free money is free money............
Yup...or even worse during the Carter Administration...not that Carter was to blame but to be in the Military in the late 70's was a very bad time. Reagan was a god send to the Military even if it was in pursuit of the cessation of WWIII (Cold War). During the Clinton administration focused was placed on the force anchored in Cold War ideology and unable to change to face a new enemy. Shinsheki as one of the branch chiefs really was the first General since the Reagan era to get funding where funding needed to go for the betterment of all services. It was Shinsheki with help from CSM Jack Tilley that got the Bush administration to really focus on much needed pay raises for the enlisted side of the house...without their efforts none of the branches would be at where they are now. The idea of targeted pay raises really got congress moving and getting the critical enlisted grades up to speed.
Hopefully I will be there in seven years as well. Damn deployment stopped school in its tracks.
