A&P 1TB WD My book II set at Raid 1 or just the regular 1TB My Book?

    Well my older external HD just crapped out on me. ( 2 year old Buffalo 500 GB) Was just backing all the data to another HD since it was already making weird noises, left it overnight to backup, but never finished and crapped out before everything was backed up. :wtc:

    So I'm thinking if I should get one of those external HDs capable of Raid 1 to mirror stuff or just get the regular 1TB? Oh btw, I'm still not really that knowledgeable with RAIDs, I just read one of those mags that was uploaded on here. :o

    the 1tb set to raid1 is going only give you ~500gb but it will give you the safety of being able to lose 1 of the 2 drives and not losing your data.
