Taken by my husband, just looking for feed back or critique even though the photographers on this board dont seem to do any weddings. But others opinions could be helpfully anyway. :)

I like them :big grin: I hate the thought of doing weddings (they're too important for me to go screwing up) but those look great.

He wasnt the official at the wedding because the couple wanted us to be guests instead. But it didnt stop him from bringing his camera and getting shots all night. Thanks!

Yep, they are also on FM. My husband is Bptran on that board. What the hell is that smilie face for, is it entirely impossible that people frequent more then one board?
The picture they are reinacting is here:

It is the brides parents and the story is as the groom is reaching up his new brides dress for the garter her father is making a fist to punch him.

My husband has several lens and unfortunately I can't tell you which ones because I dont know the names. I know he has some wide angle lens but I am not sure what else. He shot these pictures w/ a Nikon D2X.

:ugh: Simmer down. Taking a smiley way out of context aren't you?

It wasn't just the smiley, it was your entire remark and asking for the 2nd picture as if I were just posting someone else's work and trying to give my husband credit. But I'm sure it has been done before and Im sure no one would be surprised if that were the case. So I understand the Suspicion. :) or at least that is what I got from your remark.

There are several ways to do this. I use photoshop.
The way I do it is to use the magnetic lasso tool to select what I want to remain in color. Once I have it selected just right I copy it and paste it into a new layer. Once pasted in the new layer it sits directly where it should. Then I select the original layer and select images, then adjustments and then desaturate. Then I adjust levels for that layer. Then I go back to the layer with the content still in color and usually bring down the fill or opacity so its not too bright.

Another way to do this is after you have selected and copied what you want you go up to images, mode and select grayscale. Then after the picture is made to grayscale go back to images, mode and select RGB, only after you do that do you paste the color selection back in.

Hope that helps and make sense.
