I'm looking to buy a MacBook this year and make it my primary computer. What does OT Mac crew think of these upgrades? Are they worth the money? If I got just one, which one should I get?

DEFINITELY get the ram. I'd just as soon get a 7200rpm external hard drive.

dot, crucial is where it's at. i once heard crucial uses the same ram apple does. apple just brands it with their name and marks up the price. correct me if i'm wrong.

    Apple also uses hynx RAM.

In regards to the memory that macbook uses, it is very hard to find it, right now its probably easiest to buy from apple and know it works.

    SO-DIMM of 667MHz DDR2.

edit: crucial sells it on their site, but at their own premium.
