Whats up guys, i am in a bit of a dilemma. I shoot everything under teh sun, concerts, sports, nightclubs, etc... And i want to start in on weddings now. At first i was just going buy the 1d classic and be done with and use it for sports and action stuff. But now with weddings i am wondering is 4Mpix enough? And the low light situation i hear from some pros that iso1600 is horrendous. I now question it, i would love a pro body for about $700, however it cant help me expand my business i would just got with another xxd body. Thanks in advance...

    oh btw i already have a 30d.

    1dmk2n?

I think you'd be good with the 1dmk1. I know people who still use nikon's D2H which has around the same amount of megapixels.

but if you are really worried about the noise performance, I would possibly save up for a 40d, 5d, or mk2n.

    sell the 30D and get a 1D MKII, 5D

use the 5D as primary at weddings, 1D MKII as primary for sports photography

But if your budget is $700, get another 20D/30D.

1d would really be pushing it if there any problems with exposure or cropping. a used 30d would be a better idea

    Find a used 5D

Prices will also probably drop on them near the end of January. There is rumor of Canon announcing the 5D successor at this years PMA in Vegas

Supposedly there is going to be two FF bodies (ie 3D & 7D) announced at Photokina but it's all speculation at the moment.
