How much should i be looking to pay for a Honda F4 or F4i . One that I am looking at is going for $4500 ('99 F4). It has 11k miles on it. Is this a good bike for a first?

If it's perfect even 4500 is a bit high. I have seen 03 RR in the 4500 range.

Is this a F4I? It worth it to spend a little more green for the EFI.

dont ever buy from a stealer (used bike)

ppl who take care of their bikes will always sell private party

id pay 3500 tops, and that better have low miles and be in damn good condition

nope, been riding on my friends KTM Duke and ZX-7R that I ride on almost a daily basis for a few months now. Just looking for something of my own, most preferrarbly something 5k and under, possibly a 600rr or R6. I want something that is reliable.

$4500 is a little high for a 99 F4, I'd pay around $3200. You've got to remember thats the banana seat and its carbureted- lose/lose.

Theres an 01 F4i with 7K listed near me for $4500.

I listed my 04 F4i with -5K in January for $5300, only got window shoppers- but it's a tough time to sell. In December I had a wholesale dealer offer me $4800- in hindsight I should have taken it.

Cliffs: Their asking price is high and find another bike thats fuel injected.

Not only ease of use, but throttle response is noticeably more accurate.

And if you're going to buy a bike, before March or after October are my suggestions. Apri-Jul are the worst, bike sales increase by nearly 40% annually and prices go up in scale.

CapCrunch - If you'd be willing to come to CT to pick up a bike, I'll send you some pictures of my F4i. It's quick and reliable, never down- I'm just ready for a 954 or 1000. Shoot me an email [email protected] I will cut you a deal.

Anything wrong with it when you bought it? When summer hits I'm sure I'll see 02 R6's in that price range :ugh:

check your craigslist/classifieds to see whats sold and whats selling and at what prices. when homeboy says he paid $5500 for his 03 r1, he might be living in an area that doesn't have many riders, or he might have just gotten a steal. i'm in hawaii and the average 03 r1 would be $7-8k.
