I am looking at a 1999 Dodge Durango with the 5.2l engine, and 90k miles on it, the guy said he would sell it to us for $6500. I'm not sure on how durango's are for reliability, and what I should look out for with the vehicle as far as potential problems with it... I was looking online at user reviews, and it seemed like this has various problems as you get into the higher mileage....

My parents own a 1998 (I believe) Durango and it has been absolutely solid, even though they don't do much regular maintenance on it.

The shifter doesn't like to engage completely, which i've heard was a common issue. :dunno:

tranny issues, very common. One of your "stereotypical" dodge's with all it's quirks. Not sure that I'd recommend one.

I had a 98 wiht the 318, that thing was really nice. Actually probly one of the nicest build vehicles Ive owned. Everything fit and was well put together in those. I put a tranny cooler on it just for safety, because like they said the dodge trannies in those werent the greatest.
