1996 Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition...

    Thinking of buying it....

    150K miles
    New Transmission
    5.2 V8

    Went through inspection and htis is what failed:
    The main items are:
    balljoints on the passenger side
    tailpipe and muffler
    new brake line
    left front axle shaft
    alignment and balance
    a couple shock absorbers and misc

    they were asking $2100 but came down to $1850.

    Think it's worth it?

    new tranny = good ... those transmissions usually last about 160k ... motors are good for about 220 on overange before a major rebuild ....

    but with amount of work that needs to be done on it (labor is expensive unless you do it yourself) then 1500 would be good .... not a penny higher.
