Any one find performance numbers for this old honda? A friend of mine has one and thinks it's fast... I'd like to prove him wrong. or... I'd like to be enlightened on this speed-king of '84

Seems like that sucker could really move for the early 80's. I read that it was weighing in the high 500's though... pig ass heavy compared to the new stuff (which is expected)

I had a V65 Sabre. It was my first NEW bike. Even got the factory fairing from it which made it one of the first Sport Tourers. My wife and I (girlfriend back in 1984) put a lot of miles on the fucker. I once even beat a V-Max on it from stoplight to stoplight. But only cause he couldn't get his tires to hook up :mamoru:

It was pretty fast. Don't laugh at the V4 engine, it still powers the VFR 800 Interceptor.

    RC51 as in the sportbike from 2000+? That's a v-twin IIRC (954RR owner)

The v4 is also in the Magna which in 2003 was the last year for them. And yes the Interceptor(also known as the vfr) still has the v4.

I actually have rode that bike, trust me hun, its fast for a cruiser... ridiculously fast. Absolutely an amazing machine far ahead of its time.

    For comparison I normally ride a CBR929, GSXR600, and an R1.

that's one of his many issues.

I bet it is. Its only 10 hp shy of my RC51. And has a lot more than the new V-rod to compare it to another fast cruiser. I kind of want to ride one. :hsd:
