i just bought one for $100... it's got the v6(runs perfectly fine), and i'm thinking of swapping a reman 302 in it. i can get one for a little over $1000(after core)... so other than getting a tranny, what else should i be thinking about???

I don't even know what this car is, is it a boat like most 1975-1980 cars were?

well naturally with the v8 conversion ull need a front suspension upgrade

    a bigger fuel pump

hm, and im assuming u would have to replace the exhaust as well

sounds like a lot of work

i figured that, even though the 302 does not look much bigger than the v6 already in it.

because i'll be going carbed, i was already planning on switching it up too.

i was already going to figure that in with engine swap... my muffler shop buddy gives me the brother inlaw discount.

i'll be doing the paint and interior this fall, and the engine swap this winter. it's just a project car... that may become my daily driver, depending on how it turns out. i was thinking about getting a rearend out of a 4 banger mustang aswell.

It would be a direct replacement. As long as its not a straight six. If it is just buy a tubular k member for a 1979-1993 mustang and it will bolt right in. The front suspension will be fine.
