Damn, that's a good looking car. I've always loved the A-bodies from that time period.

Funny, actually. Back when she and my dad were about the age that I am right now, my mom owned one of those cars. It was red, but it had the same vinyl top going on and everything. Really funny, actually.

neither.. the original car was called a GTO Lemans, i believe it was in 63 or 64?
after the first year, they created the cars seperatly as a GTO or as a Lemans.

    :slap:

It was '64 and it was an option on the LeMans (part of the Tempest line). In '66 GTO became it's own model and spawned the Judge in '69. In '72 it became an option on the LeMans. For '74 it became an option on the Ventura and did not return in '75

There are station wagons ('72), NOT GTOs, that were factory built with GTO parts -- certain parts were available as options (elastomeric bumpers for one)

    :bigok:

    I'm a Mopar guy

I had a self-proclaimed Chevelle fanatic (even had Chevy shoes) tell me that '72 was the first year for single headlight Chevelles and then argue with me when I told her it was '71 :mamoru:
