some guy offered me a Series 1 Kimber Classic Custom in a trade for my AR upper and my hi-point carbine with the ammo. i would value my package at around $750 bucks. is that a good trade? i know nothing about 1911s. and can anyone link me to a fuckin pic of the thing?

yea, i figured it's a real good gun. but being a college student, cheap ammo is way up on the list. i've also got someone who's willing to pay $483.50 shipped for the upper, and i'm selling my 10/22 barrel to Minus for 80, and i'll sell my carbine for 100.

in the end i'll have $663.50 to spend on a nice 9mm, and i'll have 450 9mm rounds to shoot in it.

9mm is the way to go if your trying to save a buck. At some point you should look into getting into reloading when you got some spare cash, it'll save you some money. Start saving that brass.

Stainless does look sweet, but IMO Sig's and HK are much better guns

I always hate selling guns (with a couple rare exceptions) but its just an upper you can replace it later on down the road.

yea, that's what i figured. you can always get a steal on one any given week. it's worth it for a nice pistol though, i think i'll have a lot more fun w/ it.

I'm confused as to how you're going to be purchasing these pistols when you're 19

In a few years when uppers are several hundred dollars more, you're gonna be kicking yourself for getting rid of it.

I don't think I'd sell any of my guns unless I really needed the money or it didn't work.

You do realize that is illegal correct? You, under 21, are putting money towards a gun from an FFL dealer.
