For those of you that have 1911's, what kind of grips do you like on it? I am getting tired of the stock kimber grips on my customII and would like to upgrade. I have been looking at This site, particularly their "ranger" style ultra thin.

Only problem is that they are rosewood and my pistol is black finish... I don't know how well this combo would look together.

    Any imput is appreciated.

I put a Hogue rubber grip on my colt. It really helps me control it alot better.

VERY. I think it's awesome that his wife is keeping the company going, though. :hs:

He was killed in a car wreck while returning from a deer hunt this past fall.

I love 1911 grips and get all different kinds. The Pachmayer with the finger grips are most acurrate for me. My favorite are wood with an engraved dragon.
I will most likely get fake ivory next. I would love real ivory but it is too expensive.

Hogue grips are the most comfortable that I have ever held. That is my reccomendation.

thos are the current grips on mine. Alumagrips with laser etched dragon pattern....

www.1911pistolgrips.com makes some really nice wood grips, I will get some sooner or later.

Ivory is another option... IMO it looks best on blued guns tho.
