I know Wilson Combat and Metalform get a lot of good reviews...what do you guys like?
CMC with 7 round Tripp Kits
That post was assuming you have a 5"govt...which you don't because you're fucking lame
I will probably order some Wilson 47D magazines to try next.
Chip McCormick, not too bad...I like it for the price and have never had any problems out of it.
For 8 rd mags I've had the best luck with Wilson's, they've fed everything thru my Gov't just fine. I've also used the Metalform 7 rd "FBI" mags and they worked great as well. Occationally it seemed the CMC's follower would move forward when empty and hold the mag from dropping free. But then all guns are different.
Wait, what? I thought you ditched CMC for Wilson's 47. Is the Tripp kit a follower replacement? It would have to be, with a one round reduction, right?
Chip Power Mag 8 rounders for me mostly.
Edit: try a few different mags...whatever works reliably in YOUR gun will be the best to use.
Novak that came with the gun, never had a problem with it. Whenever I get around to buying spares, they will be Wilson's
I only use wilson combat; don't feel like even trying anything else.
Mine came with one Colt, one Kimber, and one no name. I need to pick up some Wilsons.
I've had a couple bad CMCs. I run both right now though. Power mags with Tripp follower/sping (7 round) are the new hotness in mags. All but one of my Wilson mags have worked great. That being said, don't get too attached to mags and be ready to replace at any time.
I have a Novak that came with the gun, I'll get wilson when I get extras. for the Colt I have an old colt, but there are some feed problems in that gun that I think are related to the magazine, but it is now retired.
