Just ordered a 17" Macbook pro.
Dark side is pulling me in.
You won't regret it.
But if you do, that's why there's boot camp.
But seriously, you won't.
I still have my XP desktop machine for gaming and CAD work... I figure the MBP will be my day-to-day internet / excel / etc machine. Being able to run XP in Parallels should make for a pretty seamless transition.
great purchase. congrats!
dark side is where you used to be.
I doubt I'll ever leave the "other" side entirely behind (I'm a mechanical engineer and avid gamer), but this machine with Parallels will be a huge step in the right direction.
I suspect my XP desktop/gaming rig is going to see VERY little use in the coming months.
my gaming rig collected dust when I got my mac. Now it's outdated and can't run for shit
this was 4 years ago
Wait, there's two of me on this forum?
you will not regret your decision. I was in the same boat you were, and I am glad that I made the decision to get a mac. Especially with all the bootcamp/Parallels stuff out. You get the best of both worlds.
Part of me is hoping that the undeniable hip factor of the MBP will encourage me to waste time doing something creative instead of playing games.
dude what was the name of that comic strip in your avatar? I forgot but its one of the funniest strips ive read.
youll probably be pretty impressed at the gaming power of xp in bootcamp.... you might as well start digging the hole for your pc now... it deserves a good burial..... wait.... no it doesnt....
I bought my G3 ibook last year about this time, my 15" MBP shortly after release. My desktop PC is used once a month, at most. I haven't found much I could do on my PC that I can't on my mac. I haven't looked back
i came to the right side as well...pcs for the fucking lose
now I'm just going crazy waiting.
I wanted to just go down to CompUSA and pick one up, but I saved like $400 by ordering through MacConnection ($150 rebate + no CA sales tax FTW).
Now the order status says "shipped" but I have no tracking number
atleast your order status says shipped.....
Seriously I would have just bought one in-store if MacConnection hadn't listed them as "IN STOCK - SHIPS TODAY"
Regardless of the savings, I can't STAND waiting for stuff.
youre seriously depressed arent you?
stop making up quotes.
why.... im expressing your true thoughts....
One day with my MBP and I think I might be converted easier than I thought.
the new beta of Parallels is awesome, by the way. I highly recommend it.
