well, I know its physically possible.. but I'm debating if it'd be a wise choice to attempt this ride. I've mapped out the route for the most part, and I can avoid any major highway/high traffic areas, but it'll probably add ~10 miles onto the trip. Anyone ever try long-distance scooting that could share some tips? :)mamoru:)

    Its so tempting :x:

what kind of top speed do you get? you're going to get sore sitting in one position for so long, but as long as its above 65 degrees or you have cold weather gear on, i'd say go for it. I've done 200 in a day, 400 for the weekend, but I had 950cc's more and went a lot faster than you'd be able to.

just remember to wear your gear.

so 3 hours on a scooter?
pfft, that's not a long distance ride. Think about all the people who use scooters around large cities for stuff like deliveries and just cruising around.

It'd be about 6 hours. I'd love to do it, but only if the weather is permitting. Rain + 6 hour drive = :wtc:

    We'll see :wiggle:

are you going to do it by yourself?

if yes, then no dont do it.

if you got people to mob with, then hell yea do it. Definately have had some 100+ mile rides when all the boys came out.

Yea I'd be alone. The #1 purpose is to get my scooter from point A (old house) to B (new house), and I figured this would be a fun, different approach to doing that, instead of getting a truck/trailer ect

    Cavalier :mamoru:

Considering I can hardly get my mountain bike in the back, I don't think I can smash it in my car..... I won't deny having pondered that thought though :bigthumb:

If I can go 8 hours in the rain w/ no taillight through traffic on a twin, you can go a few hours on a scooter.

But if in the rain, I hope you're a devoted rider! [IMG]

i would suggest getting a higher displacement motorcycle for that kind of thing, unless you live in a crowded city which will allow you to white-line between traffic.
