Hey guys, just joined and came on here for a small bit of help.
Im 15 years old, roughly 5ft 6", and 132lb's. Now I look okay, I dont think Im too fat but I have a bit of a belly. I want to know which simple things I can do to get down to around 120lbs, I have a few months so it shouldnt be too hard. I cant really join a gym or get any training equipment, I just want a few things I can do like crunches etc. I am goign to try and cut out alot of the chocolate/crisps in my diet as I eat way too much and get alot of chest pains. So any help would be appreciated

    Read stickies.

No such thing as spot training.
    Cardio to lose weight.
    Weight lifting is essential.
    Focus primarily on diet.
    Etc.

    Prepare to be mad flamed.

okay then, no need to be so friggin annoying. Even a cut out the chocolates lardo would be okay, instead of banging on about spring break and shit. Ill just eat less crap.

In all honestly now I see why I dislike underclassmen. I don't want to single you out, but once and for all I tell you, calories out > calories in.

"I'll just eat less crap." just get your protein in

well, seen as though all of you are kinda annoyed at me not doing shit all, what would you recommend in terms of weights. I would rather it be dumbells as opposed to the bars because space in my room is limited

If its got to be dumbbells, you can probably get away with spacing purchasing a pair of 15s, 25s, 35s, 45s, 55s, 65s? Then grab a bench and some magnetic 2.5lb stickons so you can hit 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30, 32.5, 35, etc etc etc from 15 to 70lb DBs.

    If they're about $.50 a lb, that'd be about $250 in weights (plus $40 for 4 magnetic stickons), plus a $100 bench.

That's about the cheapest setup I can think of. You're pretty light so I'm guessing you're pretty weak, so maybe the 70s would work for squats/DLs, 15s for flys? I dunno what weights you need exactly, I'm just guesstimating the cheapest way to get started.

If you're specifically concerned with losing weight, and not keeping your strength, all you have to do is eat ~500 less calories a day than your daily requirements, which you can find by googling. Do this along with running and you will lose about a pound a week, guaranteed. If you want to keep you're strength, increase you're protein intake while decreasing carbs and fats but still keeping a calorie deficient diet. Along with this, you will need to be on a decent workout routine, which you can find in the archives and stickies.

    that pretty much covers it.

Then after you lose the weight and are just a bean pole and look like shit, you can come back here and get advice for bulking.

You said it yourself. Eat less and do exercises, if losing weight is your biggest concern. I'd rather be called fat than skinny.

No, you just aren't familiar with F&N. If you make a thread here I can almost guarantee that with the advice you'll get razzed too. Once you understand that and can get by it, just skip over the BS and look for the actual advice.

The fact that you're so wish-washy and so easily discouraged shows that you probably won't be successful with that attitude. It's been said in this thread several times. If you want to lose weight, eat less, run more. That's all you need. You don't need $1,000 worth of gym equipment. Eat less junk food, eat a little more good food, go outside, and run.
