I prefer 170, although that wasn't your question

If the guys at 155 weighed 170, they could handle the current 170 "who's who" with ease

i dont know...but what i want to see is Gomi move into the 170 UFC...Gomi/Penn/Hughes/GSP mix would be awesome...Gomi is getting too big for 160 pride...hes already like 180+...i want to see gomi vs penn rematch at 170

i've never formally trained, but i know the basics and probably could submit him :o

    how about the following 155ers:

    jean silva
    sato
    buscape

i'm biased because i like the 155lbers, but i also like them because of it has more international fighters as well

I totally forgot about Buscape but didn't really include silva because he hasn't done anything really that special except get beat by gomi and draw with leight remedious.

btw, it's harder than it looks, especially with a strong guy who won't tap for anything

I agree. I'm guilty of that myself.

yeah, lots of the 155ers walk around at 165-170 but just cut to make weight. i'm sure that if japan had a 170lb class, there would be less competition at 155

I've been guilty of the reverse... I follow pride much more closely than I follow the UFC.

same, but even if you know as much (or as little) as i do about UFC, you still would know that 170lbers are pretty damn competitive
