Wow, can't believe it's been that long but 11/29/1994 I walked into the rooms of AA for the very first time. I actually had my last drink on 11/16 but I claim 11/29 as my sobriety b-day because that's the actual day I started learning how to live a sober life. The in between time I considered myself an untreated alcoholic. Celebrated by spending all Thanksgiving weekend with my family, buying a HUGE 55" LED LCD TV, and going to an Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball game with some really good friends. Now I'm going to close out the evening with some videogames. It's been an interesting and long journey and I must thank those of you in R2R. You've helped me stay sober more than you know and I'll always be grateful for your support and encouragement. As many of you know, back in May I almost drank again and posted a thread about it. Everyone that posted in that thread and/or sent a PM or just prayed helped me stay sober. I wouldn't have made it without you all and the words "thank you" seems so insignificant for the gratitude I have in my heart. People may laugh and say this is just OT and nothing should be taken seriously here but I don't agree. In some of these subforums, there are some wise, caring, loving and supportive people that will reach out when one is in need. I'm truly humbled by your support and kindness and I honestly can't thank you enough.
