    Wow, that is very impressive.

I don't think I hit 240 max until age 16, and at 21 I am putting up over 400 so KEEP WITH IT MAN!

You could have some damn impressive numbers if you keep going. 400 by age 18 would be something to shoot for I think.

My bench has always sucked dick, when I was 14 I was benchin around 155. I had a couple of buddies in high school who were just strong as hell, benchin in the 300's when they were like 16. I remember hitting 225 for the first time when I was 16 and I'm just now getting past the 400 mark.

    Bastards.

you need to even out your strength, one side was all the way up and the other had barely moved. Impressive anyway.

Not retarded at all. I hit 400 just before my by freshman year in college at 18... Granted I was turning 19 in a month, but nonetheless, if you keep at it, and get your diet down you can undoubtably achieve that raw. The problem that I have noticed is that once you hit 400 it REALLY starts to slow down with progress though.
At 18/19 I hit 400 and I am now 21 and a lot of my lifts are better, but my max bench is only 435.... Once I hit that 400 number my bench progress (for max at least) really started to slow down. It is probably just mental though.

I tend to go through phases where I can add a lot of weight to a max quickly then it slows down for a long time. Then suddenly it'll make a big jump.

If my pec wasn't fucked up right now I'm sure I could jack my raw bench up some more.

Yeah, it's probably just mental. I don't go for huge number as much anymore, but in high school I went from 315 - 365 within 2 months, and was stuck for a couple months. Then jumped from 365 into 400+ within another 6 months. I have been in the 400's for over 2 years but have not passed 435 raw.

My bench strength has gone up though, so that is why I think it is mental. When I first started hitting max's in the 400 range I could move 275 for sets of 6 and 315 for sets of 4. Just last week I nailed 275 for 12 and 315 for 8. I was feeling pretty good and wanted to go for 445, but I didn't have a spotter and there was not one person in my commercialized gym that I would trust to pull 445lbs off of me if I failed.

At the time when I was in football our coaches didn't care much for reps. For most of us our max's were high but our rep endurance was utter shit. This is something I have corrected though since then.
We rarely if ever went over 5 or 6 reps throughout all of high school with all our lifts.

    yeah that's kinda odd.

Last week I did 435lbs and then immediately did a dropset of 315 x 10

Damn, good shit...I could only do 215 for a max rep a little over a year ago and I was 16. Now I've improved a long way, but my max is still at like 300ish? I never do max reps on anything though so theres no telling.
