Richmond Woman Arrested For Accidental Shooting Of 12-Year-Old Boy Apr. 14 - BCN - Richmond police arrested an 18-year-old woman on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm after a 12-year-old boy was accidentally shot Friday morning, Richmond police Sgt. Lori Curran reported today. The Richmond Police Department received a 911 call at 10:21 a.m. Friday reporting the accidental shooting at 301 W. Macdonald Ave., according to Curran. Curran said police are not sure where the gun came from, but the boy "was in the presence of several other young female adults" who were all unaware that the gun was loaded. Latisha Green, 18, pulled the trigger and accidentally shot the boy on the right side of his upper torso, Curran reported. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. "He's gonna make it," Curran said. Curran reported that everyone at the scene was cooperative with police, including Green. Copyright 2007 by Bay City News, Inc.
