Box came to about 1.43 after sub displacement. The box had to be built inside the trunk, which was kind of a pain. My right angle makita became quite invaluable. Have to seal up some minor gaps before I carpet it, but here it is in almost done form.

Yeah, I know the wiring is sloppy, I plan on cleaning it up next time I get the chance.

Some dynamatting of the rear deck, apparently I'm going to need a lot more

Custom gauge pod, just figured I throw it in

And finally a shot of the bay just for kicks

why did you have to build the box in the trunk??? I came very close to getting this sub but i instead got a 12w7. These subs are very nice

Yeah, we thought it looked bigger too when we were done, but measured it up again and it was still 1.43 (keep in mind after displacement of the IDMAX which is 8.5" deep :o).

surfzup - if you owned a mustang you'd know how impossible the trunk is. Before this I had an IDQ 10" in a .65 cu in box and even that was kind of tricky to get in the trunk. Well at least I don't ahve to worry about theft cause the only way this bitch is coming out is with the help of a sawzall.

you know, now that you mention the fact of the mustang trunk beinf a pain in the ass, a painful task that i had to do a while back comes to mind. haha, my friend has a 2002 mustang and when we put his box for his 2 10w7's in it was the hardest thing ever. we ended up cutting the box in half and adding another divider and bolting the 2 boxes together and then we had to recarpet it. It really sucked. Its funny how i forgot about that whole situation.

LS - I like the sub alot, I've just gotta get rid of all the fucking interior rattling and then I'll really be able to enjoy it. Ford didn't do all too great a job of securing some panels, so it looks like I'm going to have to do it for them :o

I put 2 12"s in my friend's mustang a few weeks ago, but he is in desperate need of more power.
