I am going to start a Project 96+ Coupe for this summer soon. I am hoping to find the car with a blown engine if at all posible, but if i cant, im hoping to find one for under 3k. I just need to decide on what to do. I plan on having 7-8k to build it after i buy the car. I have a budget of 10k including car, so somewhere around there. I am thinking B18c1 turbo, suspension/brake,wheels,lipkit, and then about a g for stereo and shit. Opinions on my best route to go? I am looking for like Low 13s on street tires. What do you guys suggest?

get a diff car? i dont see the obsession with taking a car with a rather low potential and building off of that

    How about...

1gen Eclipse awd for 3k. Put 2k in it. High 12's.
Civic for 3k. B18c1 motor swap. 2k. Be done.

    Wisconsin. Seriously.
Low 13's? No need for a swap. The D16Y8 can make 300whp with forged internals and a decent turbo kit + tuning.

10k barely covers parts. You still need the fuel management, clutch, exhaust, etc etc. And I'm assuming everything will be installed by you?
