Do you think its possible to come up with even 10 points that everyone could agree on 100%? that wouldn't be contradicted by one study or another?

If you know any one indisputable point... post it.

i think lifting burns more cals over the course of a whole day than a session of cardio....not in the same time period.

cardio only elevates hr/metabolism for the time you are doing it, while lifting will elevate for close to 24 hrs.

    Compound movements are a must
Proper nutrition for your goals (more cals than you expend to bulk, opposite for cutting)
    Get enough rest
Form is more important than lifting heavy weight
    Consistancy is key

A few points all of us keep harping on, but honestly I don't think there are 10 real general things for weight lifting.
