    what's wrong with it?

sounds like a website that's trying to promote good health and whether you beleive it or not, power lifting and bodybuilding isn't exactly good for the joints

I use an incline leg press because I can't do bar squats. I do squats with dumbbells because it doesn't mess my shoulders up. Should I just stick to doing that?

yeah it makes sense, but your not going to put on mass doing a bunch of bodyweight exercises and thats the whole point of using the machines in teh first place.

Machines will never be a substitute for movements with more than 1-2 DOF, have you tried doing the exercises they suggest and become weaker/smaller/not grown? What are you basing this OPINION on?

What it’s supposed to do: Train shoulders and triceps
What it actually does: Overhead pressing can put shoulder joints in vulnerable biomechanical positions. It puts undue stress on the shoulders, and the movement doesn’t let you use your hips to assist your shoulders, which is the natural way to push something overhead.
A better exercise: Medicine-ball throws. Stand three feet from a concrete wall; bounce a rubber medicine ball off a spot on the wall four feet above your head, squatting to catch the ball and rising to throw it upward in one continuous motion. Aim for 15 to 20 reps.

 Ya Medicine ball throws are WAY BETTER than overhead presses. Jesus Christ.

My knee pops like crazy when doing leg presses now, so I've stopped.

i agree with the no squats on the smith machine for that reason

but i mean, they are recommending bodyweight squats, i don't think thats a type of guide many people here are interested in following.
