I know it's only $30, but what features are important to you? What does this do that 10.5 doesn't?
one of my friends said it was the shit. he mentioned something about converting a video used to take like 2 hours and now it takes like 10 minutes? he hasnt said anything else about it though
Yes. 10.4 & 10.5 are only 64-bit ready but 10.6 snow leopard has applications written to actually run 64-bit. Way different and much faster.
I will by week's end.
yes, and it works.
It's so much faster! Its definitely worth the $30!
how was that?
Upgrade program for people that have bought new Macs in the past couple months.
doubt it, is visualhub 64bit?
I got my $10 upgrade in the mail today. Want to make sure this shit is safe to install.
the last couple versions have been 64 bit
Edit: I see...
Installing on macbook now
I have noticed some 32 bit apps flying compared to leopard
everything seems about the same.
waking up from sleep is slightly quicker
connect to a server is quicker
connecting to a wifi network seems to take longer sometimes (wpa2)
booting is similar, about 47 seconds on my macbook
shutting down is quick, but who does that?
i kinda like the new spaces. i hide my dock on the right side, i like the right click menu when clicking on a dock item
not bad for $25, in my case
whats new about spaces?
why am i scared to install it? is it that easy? seems intricate
pussy. it just works.
if you do expose with spaces, it lists out the name of the application underneath it
i don't think it did that in 10.5
