I know it's only $30, but what features are important to you? What does this do that 10.5 doesn't?

Yes. 10.4 & 10.5 are only 64-bit ready but 10.6 snow leopard has applications written to actually run 64-bit. Way different and much faster.

    everything seems about the same.
waking up from sleep is slightly quicker
connect to a server is quicker
connecting to a wifi network seems to take longer sometimes (wpa2)
booting is similar, about 47 seconds on my macbook
shutting down is quick, but who does that?

i kinda like the new spaces. i hide my dock on the right side, i like the right click menu when clicking on a dock item

not bad for $25, in my case

if you do expose with spaces, it lists out the name of the application underneath it
i don't think it did that in 10.5
