I want to replace my stock barrel on my ruger with one of those heavy target barrels. I need some suggestion as to which brand does offtopic recommend? Please include a link if you can.

Keep in mind you're going to need a new stock also unless you want to rasp out your current one.

um, lemme see it all depends on how much you want to spend

lilja, hart and the like will run you quite a bit, but the best accuracy

green mountain and whistle pig are damn good for the price (120-150), very good accuracy

and then the stuff from cabelas etc. better than stock but def. not as nice as above

there are other brands but these are the ones that stick out to me the most, i would suggest whistle pig since they seem to get the best value reviews on RFC

considering i bought the 40th anniversary ruger, which has a nice shiny medal on the side of the stock, im gonna have to replace the stock. i dont want to mess up that beauty. :)

I love my 20" fluted Clerke barrel. Plenty accurate and not too expensive.

if youplan on spending this much on the 10/22, check out some of the gunsmiths on RFC, they tune up your action for like 100 bucks and its supposed to be a ton better, one i think was randy at cpc, they have their ads posted, check them out if you want a tackdriver
