Whats a good affordable stock/barrell combo, I mainly want a target barrell and from what I read wont fit on a factory stock (ruger synthetic all weather), looking maybe $200?

Also looking at this, is it worth the money at $100, I basically want to reduce trigger pull and is this hard to put in?

Rimfire Sports has the NEW Volquartsen HP Action Kit for the Ruger 10/22. This kit consists of Volquartsen's target hammer (with shims), target trigger with an overtravel adjustment, EDM sear, and EDM disconnector. All the components are coated with a special EN coating. Also included are a trigger plunger with an improved radius, trigger plunger spring, and Volquartsen's special hammer spring. The kit also includes a vibration dampening bolt stop pin to reduce stress on the action and bolt.
This kit will give the shooter one of the smoothest, cleanest, and crispest trigger pulls you can have. Satisfaction Guaranteed!! Installation instructions are included.

Not hard to put that in at all.

I cut my hammer myself. It isn't hard, maybe save you some monies.

Go with the Hogue OverMold stock. It's designed for bull barrels (0.920") and it can be had for $60-70 online.

For barrels, look at Green Mountain or WhistlePig. Those two are higher quality than a Tactical Solutions barrel. GM is regarded as slightly higher quality.

Not hard to change that either. Decide on what you want. Mine is almost stock and I think it outshoots me at 50 yards.

    Cool rifle, lots of fun.

    Hogue OM stock ($60-70)
Green Mountain bull barrel ($80 all the way up to 150 depending what you want.)
And check the classifieds at rimfirecentral.com for the ultimate starter kits. They come with the hammer, extractor, springs, extended mag release, auto bolt release, and a bolt buffer. $55 shipped. If you can't find them in the classifieds let me know and I'll refer you to a guy I know.

For the barrel and stock check out www.natchezss.com they always have good price on 10/22 stuff.

Stay away from tapco, and I can't comment on that stock because I've never used it but it looks to be made out of the cheap crap that tapco makes their stocks out of. Hogue OM is tried and true, and if it's too small for you, you can always get a universal cheek rest.

    :dunno:

I wanted that one but I couldn't find anyone with it in stock. (I wanted to see it IRL)

Tapco stuff is junk. So is the Dragunov stock. Cabelas had those. They are shitty.

Man, all this 10/22 talk is reminding me of my currently incomplete 10/22. I can't wait to get my parts in and get this thing finished....

I guess I am trying to decide, to do any of this I would have to sell my AR15.. I have had it 3 years it has 800rds through it, and ammo is going through the roof, I pretty much have a buyer if I want to see it, I cant decide

Well, you have the basic 10/22 rifle. Just play with that as is for a while, keep your AR, and slowly buy 10/22 goodies when possible.

I don't think selling an AR to upgrade a 10/22 is a good idea.

Its not just to upgrade, ammo is getting way to expensive for me, I have ammo now, but if it keeps going up I wont be able to get anymore down the road, i was gonna sell it and find something else
