OK! so after deciding against all my other options, i've decided to sell the upper for $425, and buy this for $400 shipped:

    18" SS GM barrel
Revival Yukon stock, hand painted metallic flake blue
Barska 6.5-20x50 AO scope with sunshade and flip-up covers
    VQ target hammer
    VQ extractor
    Weaponkraft bolt buffer
    Custom bolt handle
    Custom extended mag release
    Custom auto bolt release
    (1) 10rd ruger factory magazine
    (1) 25rd Butler Creek hotlips magazine

and then buy one of these in 6 inch for $95 shipped:

    i'm happy about my decision:bigthumb:

How much are they charging for one? IM assuming you need to be 21 and have 200 for a tax stamp right? Another reason I cant wait 2 more years...:hsugh:

Love that gun though. The thumbhole stock looks sexy.

    .

it'd be cool if they shipped it to you in kit form, and then once you assembled it, it was on you to get the form 1 done

they're only charging 95 dollars shipped for one, which is INCREDIBLY cheap. you have to be 21 and pay for a 200 dollar tax stamp. i'm only 19, but my dad owns his own company, so i'm going the corporate route w/ his help.

GOOD NEWS! it's got an awesome laminated wood finish under the blue paint, so i'm gonna strip the paint and refinish the laminate:bigthumb:

BAD NEWS! now he wants 450:ugh2:+FFL fee

he shouldn't have an FFL fee.

keep an eye at the classifieds at rimfirecentral too.

i just added the FFL fee on there b/c i'd have to pay my FFL, so that's 450+20 bucks.

it's awesome. he's a nice guy that goes against the norm and doesn't rediculously overprice his cans.

the ak is still a better deal... you could build your own for about the same price, and then it's the way YOU want it.. especially if you're going to strip the blue off anyway

wasn't saying he was an ass.

just from the pics you provided, they don't look like quality builds.

you couldn't get all that stuff for less. it's got about 650 in it. i have no desire for an AK.

Ditch the blue immediately after you get it home, and you've done well.

ah. well, POS or no POS, $95 isn't a bad price to try it out anyway. can always ditch it onto someone else if you don't like it.

well, i'm more from the line of thinking, that if i'm going to have a custom 10/22 or custom gun of anykind for that matter, i'd rather build it myself... It's a good deal, no doubt, and I understand your dislike for the AK. It's a fair deal. Don't know about the optics though, isn't barska like below BSA?

He hasn't changed the price in his ad, it still says $400 OBO.

Considering he's changed the price on you, is not a team member, his account is new (Oct. 05) and has a low post count (9) I would be very cautious.

i'd really like a custom 10/22, but i can't spend the complete price on it to put it together myself. the optics are crappy, but for a .22 scope, it'll be fine. I saw one in the store the other day, and they do look good. i wouldn't trust it with any kind of recoil though.
