I just installed that barrel, with a VQ hammer, sear pack and bolt stop, a Power Custom extractor and other assorted Power Custom bits, and put a shitty scope on top.

What stock and scope do you guys recommend for not too much cash?

Hogue Overmold stock is very popular as is the Mueller APV scope.

Sweet, I was going to buy one of those tomorrow and Sportsman's Warehouse. I've never heard of the Mueller scope or the manufacturer. Any good deals that you know of on that particular glass? I was looking at the Simmons/Bushnell/Tasco offerings.

Question, do your pins slide around easily? I had to be very careful to hold my pins in place while I was working on it. I was like wtf?!?!

Also, is the bolt suppose to lock back on the last round? My pretty much stock 10/22 doesnt. I got a extended mag release, and some plate that goes inside. I forgot what it's for though. :hsd:

My pins don't fall out, no.

Also, the bolt's NOT supposed to lock open unless you have a bolt hold open and the modified mags to use with it.

Or so I think. I think I'm probably right.

So, that scope's the shit, huh? Looks srsly big for a 10/22.

I am going to be using it to kill jackrabbits, looks like from the looks of that site it'll be good for this application. Any suggestions on ammo? I've seen the Aguila shit, but I also saw some shit that was like SIXTY grain. What the fuck? Can my barrel (1:16 twist, I think) even stabilize that?

The pins tend to be loose and no the bolt does not lock back. The only internal to replace that one might call a plate is the bolt release. The aftermarket parts allow the bolt to close by just pulling back on it from the locked position.

If you're only going to be hunting with it then I'd go with a decent quality fixed 4X rather than the APV. A mix of target shooting and hunting the APV will work well.

It's so that you can pull it back and it goes forward.

I forget what the stock behavior is, mine came with this.

Stock you have to pull back the bolt then press the bolt release tab on the front of the trigger guard to close the bolt. With an auto bolt release you just have to pull back the bolt and let go.

That piece of shit is some NCStar 4x, I just wanted to see what it was like and had it lying around.

Thanks for the solid recommendations, bros, good fellowship.

so why doesnt the bolt lock back on when a mag is empty? That just seems weird. :o

Also, I had a couple of malfunctions with my new 10/22 with the new TI25 magazines. :hsd:
A few extraction problems mainly. But i was shooting it rapid fire though. :dunno::o

Usually happens around the ~22nd or 23rd round.

    IT JUST DOESNT

Yeah, I have that problem too, seems to be alleviated if I hold the mag up into the receiver.

Those things are pieces anyway....I only have luck with the rotary mags.

There is no mechanism for it to do so. While it would be nice it is a great gun for $200.

thanks dudes, I went shooting today

Off my pack, sitting on a stool, through a 4x NCStar piece of shit, wind e @ 7 mph, 109 degrees, ten shots.

I have a lot of room for improvement -- I think the Mueller APV I ordered just now will help.

    I really like that stock.
