So I was at the range today testing out my new 10/22 (new stock and barrel)

Out of the ~150 or so rounds, I had two FTFires and those two were also FTE, after manually cycling the action. The extractor didn't seem to have a hold on the rim of the casing. After I got it out, there was a full primer strike, but no bang, and no eject.

Anyone have any idea why it wouldn't eject?

it was using Remington Golden Bullets .22LR 36grain HP

My GSG5 loves the stuff also, I'm so glad :o

I bought some Winchester bulk pack .22 today at Dick's, since walmart didn't even have the Federal.

Remington goldens suck as far as going bang everytime..

I'd spend the 12 bucks and get a vq extractor.

the goldens shoot pretty fucking straight in my gun. I shot the zip-ties off my target backing at about 50 yds :coold:

Could the problem be that the brass gets hot in the chamber and expands, sticking to the sides a little? It seems to come out after like 20 seconds or so of shaking and cycling the action.

I'm thinking about getting a VQ complete trigger group. Then I might get an aftermarket bolt or something.

Try it with some differnt ammo, I had terrible luck with Golden Bullets in almost every .22LR gun I've owned. The gold crap builds up everywhere, plus I would get about 2% duds

Should look at a KID TG or a RimfireTech TG instead.

I've got a bunch of remington golden I let people shoot through their own guns when we go out :o

  12. I bet you a million dollars that is your problem. I'd actually say you got a good batch of Golden Bullets with only 2 failures in 150 rounds.

Yeah my 10/22 hates the gold bullets... Love Federal 510 load (blue box I think it comes with 10x boxes of 50.)

Anyone have any experience with these?

I think the primer is lighter so its suppose to have less light strikes with a handgun
