About a month and a half ago I posted some pics and some diet averages, and had a rude awakening via F&N advice/stickies that I was doing mostly everything wrong. Been making some huge progress since following the advice given here and am really thankful guys .

    ~Middle of June (210 lbs):

    Today (July 28th) [196 lbs]:

Still really gets me down looking at my chest with the gyno and all, but I'm hoping -bf% will help. Looking to continue lifting and cutting until ~190, then I'm going to try to bulk to 200 and finish at around 195 after another cut.

cutting 6 more lbs might not make as much of a difference as you may think. Go by the mirror and not by the scale, a good piece of advice from BBers around here.

Do you mean I should cut more than 6 more pounds? I guess I just set 190 as a goal and decided to go for it, if the goal should be less than that I'm totally down :). Dropping from 260 to 196 makes anything else seem easy to me now :).

i mean you should keep cutting until you're satisfied with what you see in the mirror in terms of bodyfat%, not because of your weight at any given time. You could cut 6 more pounds and not look much different fatwise, so don't use your weight as a measure of when to start bulking.

It's of course up to you though obviously, that's just what a lot of guys around here might tell you.

    ahh yea I hear ya.
I have about a month till school exactly, and my roommate is a physical therapy major, so I'll probably be lifting on a fixed routine with him daily. I hope to be at a point where I'm happy with where I'm at bf% wise to start bulking then.

Yeah don't worry about the scale at all.

In the beginning of the summer I wanted to cut down to 185, but 2 months later I realize that I'm happy with the mirror while the scale is still at 205.

However, come September I do have to cut to ~185 for a sport.

If you can gradually build up discipline, bigger goals won't be so hard to keep at. This is why most people on diets fail. They want to go from 250 to 190. Their first goal should really be go from sitting on the couch to getting in the gym.

Cut until you are happy with the way you look, not until you lose a certain amount of weight.

    was/still is
egg white omelette in morning, or some kind of meat + vegetable. (ie chicken breast grilled with broccoli)
protein shake pre-workout (usually work out around 11ish)
    protein shake post-workout
usually a healthy sandwich (wheat bread, mustard not mayonnaise, lean turkey breast etc) or grilled chicken caesar salad-esque meal.

Dinner is usually earlier around 6-7 o clock (i try not to eat post 7:30 pm because my day usually starts and ends earlier than most [get up at 5 during the week]) and is a meat + vegetable.

Healthy fats come from snacking, which if i do, is usually fruit, or almonds, or some kind of sharp cheddar + low carb crackers.

There is a difference, and 25mg of ephedrine is going to be more effective than 25mg of ephedra for the simple reason that ephedra is both ephedrine and psuedoephedrine.
