The news have been assuming all 3 will go under, when in reality, GM/Ford will survive both as long as one goes under and does restructuring.

Chrysler is going to probably be lost/bought either way. If I had $500 million, I'd honestly probably buy them.

If he bought out Chrysler he'd be able to save the company from going under, bro. He knows more than everyone they have working on a solution

they deserve to go under. It's unfortunate that all those people will lose jobs because of a few greedy idiots, but it's gotta happen.

How so... If I bought Chrysler, I would make Chrysler sedans, Dodge as sport cars, and Jeep, well jeeps.

Chrysler needs to pull a GM and start fixing up the interiors and quality.

    No, I'm not.

Your expert opinion is based on....?

All 3 of them have said that if one of their domestic competitors goes down then they'd be fucked as well.

I'm not saying I'm an expert. But Jeep and Dodge are very profitable brand names especially under Daimer fucked them over.

You should probably hold off on the investment advice until you take a couple of economics courses.

Fuck subsidizing failure. GM has made everyone in the country think they're vital to the economy, but last I checked we're a free market, and SOMEONE will fill that demand.

Whether or not they're an American company, no one can say. But who cares? I care about the quality of the product, no who makes it.

I love how his is all about one comment I made when in reality my question was in the thread title.

And you shouldn't be saying anything in a car thread.

    GM makes exceptional quality products.

The problem is the UAW, contracts, and having 11ty brands when 2 would do.

What do you think will happen when thousands of suppliers go belly up?

Well then why do you want to give them a bailout?

What if I told you that GM could file for Ch.11, go to court and dissolve their existing labor contracts, and restructure on their own WITHOUT any government money?

Is that something you might be interested in? [/entourage]

    Are you joking?

Dodge has tons of cultural history with the Hemi, Charger, Challenger, etc.

They won't all go belly-up. I bet a lot of them also supply to Toyota, Honda, Subaru, and any other foreign company with factories in the US.

First... Because they lose more money paying their employees than they make selling cars.

Secondly, obviously everyone wants that moron. But I don't think it's that easy.

The parts needed to make the cars will just form themselves automatically
