So you have $1,000 to spend on all your hardware for your new computer from scratch, you have no parts you are reusing, You play games and use your computer for typcial work stuff alot.

So you will need at a minimum the following:
    Case (w/fans)
    Power Supply
    Motherboard
    Processor w/Fan
    Memory
    Video Card
    Hard Drive(s)

What combinations of parts would you buy?
Where would you purchase your patrs?
    Intel or AMD?
    PCI-E ?
    SLI ?

It's getting really annoying the level of fucktards that can't read the threads on the FIRST page of the forum.

ALL of these questions have been answered before.

*INTEL* CPU (non-negotiable, it's is the undisputed performance champ, at this time)

*INTEL* Mobo (others will likely sackride asus or gigabyte but the honest truth is that you will most like end up RMAing them as where the Intel will perform geat and be ROCK SOLID)

*CORSAIR* memory (great ram. there are some other good ones, but corsair is inexpensive, consistant, and proven)

    *SEAGATE* hard drives (again, proven)

*Fortran/Enermax/Sparkle/PCP&C* PSU (in order of typical cost. Higher end is better but more costly. Don't buy a fucking antec. They're over-priced and most are shit. The few okay ones are re-branded so if you must have it, buy the real one instead of the knock-off.)

    etc......
