Thinking about getting either the 07' Infiniti FX35 AWD or 07' Acura MDX. I love both styling. Acura new MDX just released their new face but Infiniti FX has been around since 2003. I hate Acura's key but love Infiniti's Intelligent Key...

having hard time choosing one, any inputs?

My mother has a 2005 MDX and it's a sweet vehicle. The navigation screen is annoying, however, if you have polarized sunglasses -- you can't see the screen unless you cock your head about 30 degrees. The gas mileage is also quite pathetic (about 12mpg in so.cal. city and it barely hits 20mpg on the highway). However, it's a peppy, comfortable ride. The suspension gives just enough over bad roads but is firm and takes a corner well. Steering is very responsive.

Visibility is much better in the MDX when compared to the FX.

I think if you were considering V8, I'd go FX.... Otherwise, I think Acura has a winner.

Infiniti all the way. they look way cooler than the acura in my opinion. And the 3.5 is a pretty damn good motor.

did you read the fucking review? It appears to have been written by a 5 year old that has never actually touched either vehicle.

He can't make up his own fucking mind. Are they the same size or not? But he then goes on to say:

So what is it? They have the same size tank, but the FX is slightly bigger... but the MDX gets better mpg, but has to fill up more often?

The guy just uses a bunch of relative and non-specific comparisons with ZERO scientific data. And even his opionion contradicts itself.

no name online car reviews are completely worthless. Even big name magazines dont always review cars all that well. I remember when car and driver rated the miata higher than the 3000gt VR4 because it was "funner to drive." Personally i'd rather have twin turbos, but thats just me.

Just go do the dealerships and try them both out, maybe even let them know you are trying them both SUVs, and they might compete on prices. I'd honestly go with the FX. Much more manly, and way better looking. The MDX is great and all but it looks way too soccer mom to me. Just my opinion. Also my brother has a Nissan Murano. That 3.5 is a real nice motor, and the quality on that thing really impressed me. I can only immagine how nice the FX would be.
