02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1

    the DTC code is P0135.02

    '99 mitsu eclipse non turbo


    is the 02 sensor a thing i could replace myself? i am not a gear head. if i choose not to replace it myself, what kind of mechanic should i go to? by that i mean, dealership, local mechanic, chain store mechanic (jiffy lube, pep boys, etc.) thanks in advance

    B1S1 is on the one closer to the engine.

    I believe you have the thread in type.
    Which is harder to get out [corrosion on threads].
    To just replace that, pretty much anywhere.
    Most places should have decent experience doing those.

    Just stay away from places like Jiffy Lube.
    They have half assed mechanics.

    MOST local mechanics, Pep Boys, ect will have better quality techs.

    Unless you specifically know how good ALL the techs are at a particular shop, a dealer has the best chance of having a good tech look at it.
