Basically just want to know if there are any specific things I need to look out for on these 2 bikes. There is an 00 ZX-6r I'm gonna go look at (17k miles) and a '99 F4 w/ 10k miles...

Any kinky things I should be looking for and what are ya'lls opinions..

I personally like the looks of the zx-6r myself...

ZX6Rs looks and feel BIG, bigger than 600s should feel like. Mechnically speaking, I have never heard anything bad about any Jap bikes.

But go try it for yourself man, you might like it

compared to todays bikes yes but im assuming this is first or 2nd bike so "slow" isn't that bad of a thing

sitting on it, I didn't feel like it was *too* big...it honestly seemed smaller than the f4i I sat on moments before it. :dunno:

I'm a big guy 6'-4" and 180 lbs, "big" to me isnt "big" to you...

edit** and i just did some research, the '00 zx-6r weights virtually the same as the f4's

edit** I'm going back and reading reviews of the 99-00 F4's and the '00 (redesigned year) of the zx-6r and they are making it seem like the zx-6r is well superior...

Yeah right, do you ride track?

My buddy used to take his, stock 30,000+ mile, 98 ZX-6 to Hallet and run sub 30's on it.

    Its all in the rider.

done, I do like that yzf-r600

1997 was before they introduced the flag-ship R6...they still have the r600 (like the one you sent me) made today, only slightly better looking...

But it looked good, lets call it...its a good alternative to the zx-6r that I seem to want to badly...

yzf600r is a pretty nice bike. I've ridden one a few times.

Its not bad. I rode one home for a kid from my dealer once.

    But it's not my R6.

    ZX-6R.
    But I like Kawis.

If possible, save a little more and get the F4i.

    Fuel injection FTW.

I just bought a 98 yzf600r with a yosh exhaust and jet kit. I love it, it's my second bike, the first was an ex250 I had for a few months to learn on.

I agree about the fuel injection. But the last kawi I owned left a sour taste in my mouth.
